Description
Rigby's Buildings is an office and public house located on Dale Street, with a date of 1726 marked on the facade, although it was rebuilt around 1850. The building is constructed of stucco and has five storeys with seven bays. The ground floor features a later 19th-century front that includes large leaded windows and a continuous fascia. The windows on the first floor, most of those on the second floor, and all above are four-pane sashes. The first-floor windows are adorned with balustrades, ornamented architraves, and lintels. The second floor is particularly decorative, featuring small balconies, architraves, and consoled pediments. At the top, there is a modillioned cornice, a balustraded parapet with urns and acroteria, and the carved name "Rigby's Buildings."
