Description
This is a terrace of four brick houses located at 8-14 Falkner Street. The houses date from the second quarter of the 19th century. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings, and have a slate roof. The terrace is three storeys high with a basement, and each house has two bays. The layout is symmetrical, with doorways positioned in the outer and central bays of the overall arrangement. A prominent sill band is visible on the first floor, along with a top frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows with glazing bars. The doorways are round-headed, featuring panelled doorcases. Original iron railings are in place to the areas and steps, although the area to number 14 now has a wall constructed of breeze blocks.
