Description

This is a terrace of eleven houses, numbered 3 to 11 (odd) and including 11A, located on the east side of Catharine Street. The houses were built in the 1820s and are constructed of brick with stone dressings, all topped by a slate roof. Each house is three storeys high plus a basement, and has three bays. The exterior features a lintel band at basement level, a sill band to the first floor, a top frieze, a cornice, and a blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows with glazing bars. The entrances have angle pilasters and entablatures, and are paired. Iron railings with spearheads are present to the areas and steps. Number 3 has casement windows to the first and second floor windows. Number 5 has bowed ground floor windows and one iron balcony to the first floor.
