Description
This is a terrace of seven houses located on Garston Old Road, Liverpool. The houses date to 1852, as indicated by a plaque. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings, and have a slate roof. The terrace is three storeys high with a basement, and each house has two bays. A top frieze and a modillioned cornice run along the top of the terrace. The ground floor windows project slightly and feature flat pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. Most are tripartite sash windows, without glazing bars. The round-headed entrances have Doric doorcases with fluted columns and four-panel doors. A central plaque displays the date and “ST. MARY’S TERRACE” in gothic lettering. There are plain iron railings to the steps, and an iron balcony on the first floor.
