Description
Hunts Cross Station, which includes the Stationmaster's House, was built in 1873. It is constructed of brick and features a slate roof. The building is situated on the side of a cutting, with a gabled end facing the street. The right side has one storey with an attic, while the left side, which faces the railway, has two storeys, a basement, and an attic, comprising four bays in total. The windows have segmental pointed heads and paired sashes with weathered mullions, with the exception of the second bay on the left side. There are pointed windows in the gabled dormers. The station entrance is located at the gable end, and the house entrance is in the third bay of the right side. The building features two cross-axial stacks and the left side has a ground floor iron balcony that extends over the railway lines. This station is a notable example of the designs created for the Cheshire Lines Committee.
