Station and Station-Master's house. 1873 . Brick with slate roof. Built on side of cutting with gabled end to street, right return of one storey with attic, left return to railway of 2 storeys with basement and attic: 4 bays. Windows have segmental pointed heads and paired sashes with weathered mullions. Windows are paired, except for 2nd bay of left return. Pointed windows in gabled dormers. Station entrance to gable end, house entrance to 3rd bay of right return. 2 cross-axial stacks. Left return has ground floor iron balcony with bridge over lines. A good example of the stations built for the Cheshire Lines Committee.
