Description

36 and 38 Falkner Street are two houses built in the 1820s. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. Each house has two storeys and a basement, with two bays. There is a sill band at the first floor, a top cornice, and a blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels and are sashed with glazing bars. The round-headed entrances are framed by Doric doorcases and have six-panel doors. No. 36 includes 20th-century railings, while No. 38 features a basement lintel band, a ground-floor canted bay window, and lacks vertical glazing bars on its windows. The doorcase of No. 38 does not have columns.
