Description

The entrance to Everton Cemetery, located on Higher Lane, was built in 1879 and is made up of four stone gate piers. These piers feature nook shafts, gabled buttresses, and finials. Three of the piers are inscribed with the words "EVERTON," "CEMETERY," and "AD 1879," although the first pier has lost its inscription. The entrance is completed with paired wrought iron gates and a single flanking gate.
