Description

Dobson's Bridge, located in Barnacre-with-Bonds, is an accommodation bridge over the Lancaster Canal that was opened in 1797. It was designed by the engineer John Rennie. The bridge is constructed from squared sandstone blocks and features a single elliptical arch. Below the solid parapet, which has a band and a rounded top, is a stepped keystone.
