Description
Nos 16 to 20 Queen's Terrace is a terrace of houses built between 1836 and 1841, designed by Decimus Burton. The buildings are constructed from ashlar stone and feature a hipped slate roof. They stand three storeys tall and have a moulded eaves cornice. The terrace consists of 45 bays, with the end two bays set back. On the street front, the end three bays and the central seven bays are topped with pediments. The windows are sash style, with some featuring glazing bars. The first-floor windows in the end three bays have moulded cornices, while those in the central seven bays are adorned with pediments. The first-floor windows are grouped in threes and are complemented by balconies with elaborate cast iron balustrades. The doors are accessed via flights of steps that are flanked by ashlar walls with moulded coping. There are cast iron railings with spear finials surrounding the areas.
