Description
Green Lane Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1700 that has been altered. It is built of handmade brick on a stone plinth and has a slate roof. The building has a rectangular three-bay plan, with an attached stair turret at the rear and a lean-to addition at the right-hand end. It stands two storeys tall and features a two-course brick band. There are three windows on each floor, with patched brickwork where a former doorway was located between the second and third windows. An inserted doorway is found between the first and second windows, which disrupts the brick band. The centre window on the ground floor is a four-light window with small panes, while the others are segmental-headed, two-light windows with glazing bars. The windows above are all three-light windows with glazing bars, and all are sliding sashes. The rear of the farmhouse includes a projecting stair turret with a parallel-ridge roof. It has a ridge chimney and gable chimneys. The interior has been altered but retains one ovolo-moulded beam.
