Description

Canal Bridge (Number 11) is a public road bridge over the Leeds-Liverpool Canal "new cut" from Burscough to Tarleton, likely built around 1790. It is constructed of squared sandstone and features an elliptical portal with dressed voussoirs. The bridge has a band, a parapet with rounded coping, and pilastered ends that curve at the outer ends of the keepers.
