Description
This is a mid-19th century house, potentially incorporating an earlier building, now divided into two dwellings. The house is constructed from dressed sandstone, with a hipped slate roof, chimneys, and a T-shaped plan featuring a front block of five bays and a rear service wing. The symmetrical front facade has rusticated quoins, sill bands to both floors, a moulded cornice, and a plain parapet. The outer bays are slightly lower and set back. A central, single-storey porch with corner pilasters, a plain frieze, a projecting cornice, and a low parapet features arched openings with moulded architraves and keystones; one opening contains an elliptical-headed door, and another a window with margin lights and stained glass. A first-floor window above the porch has a moulded cornice with consoles. Large canted bay windows are present at ground floor in the outer bays, while other ground floor windows have moulded architraves. All windows are sash windows without glazing bars. A return wall has a porch similar to that at the front. The rear service wing, in a simpler style, has some modern ground floor additions.
