Description

Packhorse Bridge is a bridge over the River Irwell, likely dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of random rubble and features two irregular segmental arches that span approximately 20 metres. On the east side, there is a half-height cutwater made of larger blocks. The bridge has parapets with rounded rubble coping.
