Description
Braddup House, built in 1787, is a two-storey house constructed from squared coursed sandstone with a slate roof. It features a double-pile plan and end stacks, with three bays. The windows are of three lights, each with plain stone surrounds and square mullions. The central bay contains a door with a plain stone surround, and above it on the first floor is a plaque with a plain stone surround that reads 'RB 1787 Excise'. The house also has shaped stone gutter brackets.
Adjoining to the west is a farm building that has one bay, featuring a ground-floor window with a plain stone surround and a blocked first-floor window, which also has a plain stone surround and one square mullion. At the rear of the house, there are two 2-light windows on each floor, both with plain stone surrounds and square mullions, as well as a tall stair window with a plain stone surround and two transoms. To the right of the rear is a door with a plain stone surround and a re-set shaped lintel inscribed 'E R W 1669'.
