Description
Thornbers is a house dating from the late 18th century, constructed of sandstone rubble and topped with a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and features three bays. The windows are surrounded by plain stone and have square mullions, with three lights in each window except for the left-hand ground-floor window, which has been modified to two lights. The right-hand ground-floor window is wider than the others. The entrance door, located between the first and second bays, also has a plain stone surround. A chimney is situated on the left-hand gable and another between the second and third bays. The right-hand (east) gable includes a re-used 17th-century hollow-chamfered mullioned window that originally had four lights, but now has one light blocked.
