Description
Browsholme Spire is a folly, likely built in the early 19th century. It features a battered wall made of sandstone rubble, standing approximately 35 feet high. The south-west side of the spire slopes, while the north-east side is vertical. At the top, it is adorned with battlements and has two blocked openings with segmental heads, with a narrow opening positioned above a wider one. The spire is located on a hilltop and is visible from the park of Browsholme Hall. The adjoining Spire Farmhouse has little architectural interest.
