Description

The sundial base, located south of Lovely Hall, dates from 1668 and is made of sandstone. It has a square plan, with the upper part featuring a round sinking with a central boss on each face. The lower part is chamfered with stops above and below, and it is inscribed on each face with the initials 'PS', a blank shield, the year '1668', and the initials 'CH'.
