Description

The Written Stone is an inscribed stone dating from 1655, made of sandstone. It measures approximately 8 feet long, 2 feet wide, and 18 inches deep. The stone features incised letters that read: 'RAVFFE RADCLIFFE LAID THIS STONE TO LYE FOR EVER AD 1655'. For more information on the legends surrounding the stone, refer to Tom C.
