Description

This barn, located to the north of Hesketh End, is possibly from around 1800. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a slate roof. On the left side, there is a wide entrance with a segmental head, and to the right, another wide entrance with a stone lintel. Further to the right, there are three doorways with plain stone surrounds. Above these doorways, there are two pitching holes, one of which has a plain stone surround. Additionally, above the smaller doors, there is a re-set section of a triangular lintel that is inscribed with 'ANNO DOMIN MD...'.
