Description
95 Fishergate is a town house that has been converted into a shop, dating from around 1830 to 1850, with some alterations. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, featuring sandstone dressings and a slate roof. It has a three-storey facade with three windows, and the left corner is accented with quoins. There is a plain frieze and a moulded cornice above. The ground floor has been completely changed due to the installation of a modern shop front. The upper floors have sash windows without glazing bars, with the second-floor windows being lower and all having raised sills. The second-floor windows also feature wedge lintels. The rear and interior of the building were not inspected. This structure is one of the few remaining former domestic buildings on this street and contrasts with the adjacent No. 96 on the right.
