Description

Lower House Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The building has a two-cell plan and end chimneys. On the ground floor, there is one two-light window and one five-light window, with a later four-light Victorian window situated between them. The centre porch is a recent addition from 1983. The first floor includes one six-light window and one five-light window, with all older windows featuring ovolo moulded stone mullions. According to the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England report, the first floor ceiling has stopped and chamfered beams and joists.
