Description
This is a house, dating from circa 1600, originally a farmhouse and now divided into a farmhouse and a cottage, forming an 'L' shaped plan. The house is constructed of rubble and has a stone slate roof. The main range features a small three-light stone mullion window and a larger six-light stone mullion window with semi-circular heads, the latter of which has been renovated. An 18th century doorway is located to the right. The first floor has three three-light windows, with the mullion on the second window removed. Two windows to the right have diamond glazing. One two-light window has also had its mullion removed. The cottage has a gabled front projecting forward to the right of the farmhouse. It has two storeys and two five-light stone mullion windows with semi-circular heads, also with diamond glazing, and a seven-light window similar to these on the first floor. A projecting stone slab is in the gable peak. The Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (RCHM) notes that interior features and a king post roof exist within the building. A later 19th century block to the left of the farmhouse is not considered of historical interest.
