Description
Fosters Arms Public House is a public house dated 1699, as indicated by the inscription "C:H/1699/RB" in a recessed panel above the door. The building is constructed of stone and features a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys tall, with two 5-light windows on the ground floor. The first floor has a single light window, a 4-light window, and a 3-light window with a stepped head. All windows have chamfered stone mullions and moulded and returned dripstones. The doorway, which dates from the 18th century, is framed by a stone architrave and hood. To the right, there is a single-storey extension that is set back and was originally a two-storey cottage, dated 1688, which includes one 4-light window similar to those on the main building.
