Description
Old Chapel House is a former chapel that was later used as an auction room, dating from the mid to late 18th century. The building is constructed of dressed stone with ashlar quoins and features gutter corbels. The central doorway is topped with an open pediment supported by engaged Tuscan columns, with paterae on the dosserets. Attached to the right side of the wall is a gravestone, while a similar gravestone on the left side has been lost. The building has two windows on each storey, all originally designed in the Venetian style, although the ground floor left window has been altered with a late replacement and now features modern glazing.
