Description
Fencegate House is a Georgian house that has been converted into a public house. It is built of stone with ashlar quoins and features a stone slate roof with stone coping, kneelers, and gutter corbels. The building has two storeys and three symmetrical bays, with three-light sash windows that have a wide central light, glazing bars, and square stone mullions and surrounds. The entrance consists of a panelled door with a fanlight, set within a Tuscan doorcase that has a pediment. Each upper floor has a round-headed window, also with glazing bars. The building was extended to the left in 1983.
