Description
Dimpenley Top Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of rubble and has a cement-rendered finish, topped with a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys. On the right side, there is one remaining 3-light window opening from the 17th century, although the mullions have been removed. To the left, there is a 2-light window, and on the first floor, there are two 4-light stone mullion windows featuring flat-faced mullions. A wide gabled kitchen has been added later. There is also a recent cottage adjoining to the left, which is located on the site of a former barn. The farmhouse has gable chimneys, one of which is now positioned between the house and the cottage.
