Description

The lighthouse on the east side of the entrance to Glasson Dock dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of slobbered sandstone and features a slate roof, which is now covered with felt. The building is single storey. The west wall includes a small window with plain reveals, and to the left, there is a lean-to porch. The south gable has a chimney that transitions from a square cap to an octagon, accompanied by a string course. At the north end of the ridge, there is an octagonal lantern with a window on each side and a pointed metal roof.
