Description
The Stork Hotel in Conder Green is a public house dating from the late 17th century, which has undergone alterations. It is constructed from slobbered rubble and features an asbestos sheet roof that has replaced the original thatch. The building is two stories tall and has three bays. A straight joint above the ground floor indicates that the left-hand bay may have been added later. This bay has windows with plain stone surrounds, while the other two bays feature a drip course that is interrupted by ground-floor windows, also with plain stone surrounds. On the first floor, these bays have three-light rebated and chamfered mullioned windows. The entrance door, located between the second and third bays, has a cyma-moulded surround and a battlemented lintel. The gables are topped with chimneys and copings.
