Description

The tower on the shore at Jenny Brown's Point dates from around 1800 and is constructed from squared coarsed limestone. It has a hollow round section, stands approximately 10 metres high, and tapers towards the top. There is a rectangular opening into the flue on the east side, located near ground level. This structure is believed to be the remains of a copper smelting works that was active from around 1780 to 1820.
