Description
The Tudor Bar, located at Middleton Tower Holiday Camp, is a barn that has been converted for use as a bar and dance hall, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of sandstone rubble and features a stone slate roof. The east wall includes an outshut with two wide entrances, the right-hand entrance having a lowered lintel. Between these entrances are two windows with plain reveals, and a middle window positioned at a higher level above a doorway with long-and-short jambs. To the right of the outshut is a later, lower outshut, followed by a door with long-and-short jambs. The gables are topped with copings and kneelers, with the southern gable adorned with a ball finial. The south gable wall is partially obscured by modern additions. The right-hand shippon door is still intact, while the central door has been blocked to create a window. The west wall features three windows with plain reveals and a door with long-and-short jambs located to the left of the third window. Inside, a ceiling has been added beneath the tie beams.
