Description
New Brows Farmhouse is a house built in 1751, with some alterations. It features slobbered rubble walls and a modern tile roof. The building has two storeys and two bays. The windows are framed with chamfered stone surrounds. There is a gabled porch located between the bays, which has a doorway also with a chamfered surround. Above the porch, there is a plaque inscribed with 'WN 1751'. The house has end chimneys, with the left-hand chimney replaced by a modern external brick stack. At the rear, there are chamfered window surrounds of 17th-century style, likely re-used, including one where the chamfer forms a triangle on the lintel, which was originally used over a door.
