Description

Haverbreaks Bridge, built around 1797, is a road bridge likely designed by the engineer John Rennie for the Lancaster Canal Company. It is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and features a slightly deformed semi-elliptical arch with plain voussoirs. Above the arch, there is a band, and the bridge has parapets with plain copings. A large iron pipe is currently fixed to the south side of the bridge.
