Description
Docker Cottage is a house built in 1685, constructed from rendered rubble with a slate roof. It stands two storeys high. To the left of the entrance door, there are mullioned windows featuring two and three lights, with an inner cyma moulding and an outer rebate. To the right of the door is a three-light window that is rebated and chamfered. On the first floor, there are two three-light windows that are rebated and hollow-chamfered. A drip course runs above the ground floor. The door is framed by a moulded surround with a shaped lintel that is inscribed with 'RSA 1685'. The house has gable chimneys, and the left-hand gable features a coping with a kneeler. This gable wall also has a 19th-century first-floor window with two round-headed lights. At the rear, there is a wing that includes a two-light mullioned window on the first floor.
