Description
Far Lodge Farmhouse is a house from the late 17th century that has been altered. It is constructed of pebbledashed rubble and features a slate roof, forming an L-shape. The building has two storeys with an attic. The south wall consists of two bays with modern windows that have plain stone surrounds and includes end chimneys. The right-hand (east) gable wall has a blocked one-light rebated and chamfered attic window. The rear wall of this section has a two-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window.
On the west wall, the gable of the front block is to the right, which features a modern first-floor window with a plain stone surround. The far left of the rear wing has a blank ground floor and an ovolo-moulded cross window on the first floor that is now blocked and pebbledashed. To the right of this is a bay with ovolo-moulded window surrounds, followed by a door with a moulded surround and a shaped lintel inscribed with '1693 T H II'. The left-hand gable has a chimney supported by stone corbels. The east wall of the rear wing features a rebated and chamfered cross window on the first floor.
