Description
Nos. 12 and 14 on Church Street are a pair of cottages built in the late 19th century. They are constructed from red brick and feature a slate roof with a ridge chimney stack. The cottages are double-depth and single-fronted, standing two storeys tall. They are designed as a reflected pair, with doors located at the outer ends, each accessed by two steps. Each cottage has one four-pane sash window on each floor, with the upper windows breaking the eaves and featuring steeply-pitched gables above them. All openings have pointed arched heads, with the arches over the doors being more steeply arched, creating triangular fanlights. These cottages are listed for their group value.
