Description

The gatepiers and mounting block, located approximately 20 metres south of Bolton Green Farmhouse, date from around 1700 and are incorporated into a garden wall. The structure features two square-section piers made of sandstone ashlar, which have moulded plinths and capitals topped with ball finials. To the right of the piers, there is a four-step mounting block set on a concrete base. It is possible that none of these elements are in their original positions.
