Description
A barn, situated approximately 15 metres north of Copland Farm, dates from 1742, as indicated by a date on the roof collar. The barn is cruck-framed and clad in brick, with a felted roof. It features three cruck trusses, some with windbraces, and one cruck truss has had its blade severed above the collar and replaced with a kingpost. Another truss has one blade severed near the foot. Single overlapped purlins are present. Between the first and second trusses, a collar has been laid on the purlins, supporting a kingpost that in turn supports the broken ridge.
