Description
Broxop's Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the early to mid-17th century and has been altered over time. It is constructed of brick on a high stone plinth, with some quoins, and features a roof that is partly felted and partly covered with slates and tiles, along with two chimneys. The building has a three-bay baffle-entry plan and stands two storeys tall. A wide two-storey gabled porch is located at the junction of the first and second bays. There are three brick hoodmoulds that remain at the side and rear from former mullion windows, which have all been altered, and some blocked former single-light windows can also be seen. Inside, the housepart in the second bay includes an inglenook with a bressummer and quarter-round moulded beams, along with some internal timber-framing.
