Description

Barrow Cottage is a house, likely originally a farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed with timber framing and brick nogging, featuring a brick crosswing and a thatched roof. The original layout comprised three units arranged around a central hearth passage, with a single storey and attic, and a projecting crosswing to the right. The windows are casements, with 1, 3, and 4 lights. A later thatched porch has been added next to the gabled crosswing. There are two ridge stacks. Eyebrow dormer windows are visible to the right and at the rear.
