Description
No. 197 on Talbot Road is a house built in the early 19th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork at the front and coursed rubble at the rear, topped with a slate roof. The house has a central-staircase layout and stands two storeys tall. It has a stone plinth and rusticated quoins. The central door is framed by a rusticated surround with a keystone. There are two windows on each floor, which have cambered and flat brick arches with keystones, and 20th-century casements. The first floor has a central blind window that matches the others but includes a stone sill. The house has ridge chimney stacks, and the rear displays casement windows and indications that it has been raised in brick.
