Description

The lychgate at the Church of St. Mary is a structure likely built around 1875 by J. M. and H. Taylor. It features a timber frame resting on stone dwarf walls and has a slate roof. The posts extend from and are braced to the sole plates, and they are also braced to tie-beam roof trusses in each gable. The eaves and verges of the roof overhang, and there are timber gates fitted with cast-iron hinges. This lychgate is included for its group value with the church.
