Description
Shoresfold Cottages, likely a farmhouse converted into two cottages, dates from the late 17th century and has been altered over time. The building is constructed of coursed sandstone rubble, painted white, and features a stone slate roof. It has a linear plan and is a low two-storey structure with a four-window range. The ground floor includes three two-light horizontal-sliding sash windows, a 20th-century door immediately to the left of the first window, and another door situated between the first and second windows. There are four similar windows under the eaves, most of which have four-paned lights. The right-hand half of the building has two ridge chimneys, and there is another chimney at the front left corner. Notable features include two large cruciform tie-plates at the left end. The rear of the building has not been inspected, and while the interior has also not been inspected, it is likely to contain interesting features.
