Description
The garden wall to the north and east of New Hall Farm and New Hall Cottage is a notable structure built in 1630, with a stone section that has a datestone marked "ID 1701". The wall is constructed of English garden wall bond brick and features stone copings along with random stone. It wraps around two sides of both the Hall and the Cottage. The brick section has a round coping and includes a gate leading to the front door, which is stone dressed and has decorative terminations with carved concentric circles. The stone part of the wall is topped with semi-circular copings. This wall is included for its group value with the adjacent buildings.
