Description
Nos. 2 and 3 The Delph is a house, now divided into two homes, originally built around 1760 and incorporating a stone-mason's workshop. The building features hammer-dressed stone that has been limewashed, and it has a slate roof with quoins. The central door has a dressed surround and a heavy timber frame, with the original boarded door still in place. There is now a second door for No. 3 to the left, along with 20th-century porches. Each floor has two casement windows with square-cut stone surrounds. A large addition was made to the left in 1986, and there is a blocked elliptical-arched opening on the right side. The chimney stacks have been rebuilt. It is noted that an ice-house is said to have formerly existed at the rear.
