Description

The Congregational Church, originally an Independent Sunday School, was built in 1829, as indicated by the datestone. It is constructed of dressed watershot stone and features a slate and asphalt roof. The building has a hall with a central entrance facing Moore Street and includes a basement. It is a single-storey structure with five bays. The windows are designed with square cut sills, lintels, monolithic jambs, and marginal glazing bars. The doorway is topped with a flat hood, which is also present above the datestone, and there are gable chimney stacks.
