Description

This is a terrace of three houses located on Holts Lane. The terrace was built in two phases, with part of it dated 1837. The houses are constructed of brick with stone flagged roofs. Numbers 13 and 15, each featuring a single-unit plan with doorways to the left, are dated 1837. They are two storeys high, with a three-window range. Steep gothic arches, featuring leaded fanlights, define the doorways located to the left and centre. The lower windows have two lights with Y-tracery set within steep gothic arches. Above, two-light windows flank a single light, all constructed with stone mullions and drop-ended hood moulds. A stone panel above the doorway of number 15 records "Antique Cottage, 1837" along with the initials R.E. over H. There are axial stacks present. Number 11 adjoins to the left and is likely slightly later, being taller with a central doorway within a steep gothic arch flanked by Y-traceried windows also within steep arches. Two-light mullioned windows are located above. The windows feature leaded glazing, likely dating to around 1930, and an axial stack is also present.
