Includes: Nos.15 AND 17 SYDENHAM STREET. Includes: Nos.5-13 MELROSE STREET. Includes: Nos.58-68 BARTLEMORE STREET. Block of 16 houses. Dated 1862. Brick with stone, polychrome brick and terracotta dressings. Built around a courtyard, with long elevations facing east and west, and central arched entrance to courtyard in north and south ranges. 2 storeys, each house a double-depth, single-unit width. Steep arches to doorways with brick pilasters and red and white brick arched heads. 4-panelled doors. Paired lower sash windows with semi-circular heads carried on central column. Paired upper windows, and single windows over doorways. Sashes all renewed in original openings. New bay windows at each end of south elevation. Continuous sill band to first floor, stepped on north and south elevations. Polychrome brick frieze with Greek key decoration, bounded by string courses of moulded terracotta. Overhanging wood eaves cornice carried on yellow brick console brackets. Stacks on each end wall. Datestone on western elevation inscribed "Albert Mount".
