Description
The lychgate with a bell turret is located at the churchyard of the former St Clement's Church, which was built in 1779 and demolished in 1949. This late 18th-century structure has been altered and is made of brick with red sandstone dressings. It features a wooden turret topped with a tiled spirelet. The lychgate is elaborately designed, facing north with a semi-circular entrance arch and ramped flanking side walls. The west side includes a small round-headed doorway on the south face. Above the arch, there is an octagonal black and white louvred wooden bell turret, also topped with a tiled spirelet.
