Description
Two pairs of stone piers are located at the forecourt of number 496, the Withington Ale House. These piers, which were likely constructed in 1881, are made of dressed stone. They feature broad round shapes with chamfered tops and ball finials. Each pair is set on a dwarf wall and was originally intended to support railings.
