Description

The statue of Oliver Heywood, a Manchester banker and benefactor, was created in 1894 by Albert Bruce Joy. It features a polished granite pedestal and a marble statue. The square pedestal stands on a base of two steps with concave tapered sides and an inscription on the east side, topped with a moulded cornice. The statue depicts a standing figure dressed in a top coat.
